Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter is a well-known American actress, producer and director. The actress has received praise for films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. The movie Piano has won several awards for her and an Oscar. Her career in acting started on Broadway by performing in a range of Broadway and Off Broadway productions. The art of acting has been a constant love of life. When she was in fifth grade, she played Helen Keller. She became deaf in one ear as a result of mumps but did not let this disability dampen the determination of her to become an actress. Her college studies included drama, and then moved to Pittsburgh into New York City to follow her goals. Through a random encounter, she got stuck in an elevator along with writer Beth Henley and the two worked together on the Broadway Crimes of the Heart' which became Hunter's debut. After moving from Los Angeles she tried to find film roles, and was able to secure the role of a co-star for the role of a supporting character in Swing Shift. In the years since, she has been in a variety of TV shows and films in more than a quarter century. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame star as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
